IZZABELLE

Izzabelle is a performance artist who specializes in circus arts, such as ring mastering, clowning, and stilt walking. She was initially drawn to circus because she found it therapeutic; this playful and energizing art helped her through some tough times. She started circus with SoCirC and continues to train and perform with SoCirC as well as Look Up Theatre, and has been performing with SoCirC’s Red Light Project since its first year. She has also performed at the Pan Am Path, and Metamorph Yourself. The name of this last show is apt, because she loves transforming into someone else on stage. Through her performances, she hopes to send the message that anyone can do circus – or pursue any of their passions – regardless of mental health issues or other challenges. Izzabelle has also facilitated stilting and clowning instruction. She is excited to take part in more instruction and vibrant performance moving forward.
