Jason J. Brown has been creating props and set building for theatre productions for over 25 years. His primary arts practice is in animation, virtual reality, video projections, green screen projection and creating digital interactive worlds He creates his own work from script to final product with an emphasis on story telling and experimenting with emerging technologies. He also works collaboratively with theatre companies (Little Red Theatre, Children’s Theatre Project), music artists (Melanie Melody, Jaymz Bee) and entertainment groups to develop projections and animation that supports the creative process of the artists he is working with. He has been nominated for awards for his short animated films. In the past few years he has been invited by a number of social arts organizations (Wilfred Laurier University, Cirqiniq Project in Nunavik) to lead digital art workshops with indigenous youth to document and tell their stories. After working with SoCirC's Rachel and Rebecca on various circus and youth projects, including documenting SoCirC's "Carnival of Life" show, he is happy to officially join the SoCirC team to support SoCirC's amazing youth to express through the creativity of circus digitally.
