Socirc in schools 2013-2020

The Triangle Program is Canada’s only high school program for LGBTQI+ youth.  It is a safer space, free from homophobia, transphobia and heterosexism where LGBTQI+ youth can be themselves, be respected, and valued for who they are.  It is a program where all will be respected and treated equally regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, religion, class, ability, gender identity or sexual orientation. This is done through an academic and applied curriculum that addresses the interests, concerns, literature, science and history of the LGBTQI+ communities whenever possible.

SoCirC artists have been partnering with The Triangle Program for annual intensive programs since 2013. Please click on Logo for more info about the visits!

Aboriginal Education Centre is pleased to offer a variety of services with the goal of closing the opportunity gap for Aboriginal students. This mandate is approached by infusing Aboriginal perspectives across the curriculum for all students as well as by providing direct wrap-around supports to enhance the overall achievement of First Nation, Métis and Inuit students throughout the TDSB.

SoCirC artists have been doing our social circus programs annually for the past 3 years.

Heydon Park Secondary School has the distinct title as being the only all girls' publicly funded high school within Toronto. We service an array of girls from across the GTA, many of whom are disadvantaged on multiple levels including socioeconomic, physical, psychological as well as intellectual. For the past ninety three years the school has been providing unique and innovative programming and services with a focus on providing vocational skills and training aimed at preparing young women for success in the workplace and society.

SoCirC's founder has been doing social circus programming at Heydon Park since 2010 with diverse groups of students both in phys ed and visual arts classes, and provided community programming for many of the students post secondary.
